The 4-star Chantepie campsite is a member of the "Sites et Paysages" camping chain. The “Sites et Paysages” campsites are to be found dotted all around France and, like the members of one big family, they have traits in common. They all share certain values such as the importance of a warm welcome and high standards of comfort.

They are set in pleasant, varied natural surroundings - with lakes, forests, beaches, mountains, rivers, villages, or châteaux. La Clef Verte est un label de gestion environnementale pour l'hébergement touristique mené par la Fondation pour l'Education à l'Environnement depuis 1998. Elle récompense les campings, hôtels, gîtes, pour leur dynamisme en matière d'environnement.

The Association de Chantepie et de L'Etang is a non-profit association set up in 1987 by the AAPAI (Association Angevine de Parents d'Adultes Inadaptés). It’ primary role is to act as a specialised organisation helping the disabled and underprivileged to find work suited to their capabilities.
The Association therefore sells products and services to create these jobs. The Association de Chantepie et de l'Etang currently has 4 main products:
   1. A camping and caravan site at Saumur
   2. A camping and caravan site at Brissac
   3. A wine-growing farm in Brissac
   4. An amusement park in Brissac
and provides the following services:
   1. A horse-riding centre for handicapped people belonging to the AAPAI in Brissac
   2. A slate workshop at Saint Barthélémy d'Anjou
   3. A holiday and leisure service
   4. The "Dimanches de l'Etang", Sunday leisure activities
The Association currently helps about fifty people.
